Dr. Mark S. Riederer
Dr. Riederer has been practicing dentistry since graduating from Loma Linda School of Dentistry in 1985. With a caring and trusting rapport, Dr. Riederer strives to give each patient personalized service and attention to detail.
He places tremendous importance on his continuing education. In addition to long time membership in the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Riederer has studied at The Pankey Institute, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, and the KOIS Center for Restorative Excellence. He has also completed comprehensive training for treating patients with Invisalign.
As a third generation Alaskan, Dr. Riederer finds great satisfaction in maximizing oral health within the community, producing life-changing smile improvements, and building meaningful relationships with patients. He strives to deliver a comprehensive and personalized approach to dentistry that develops through loyalty and trust.
Dr. Riederer has three wonderful children, Jason, Michael, and Kelsey. He enjoys fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and many other outdoor activities.
Dr. Nolan E. Davis
Dr. Nolan Davis grew up in the mountains of North Carolina. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry in 2004. He was recognized by both The American College of Prosthodontists and The International College of Dentists for outstanding achievement. After graduating, Nolan moved to Juneau and worked for SEARHC for two years where he served as adjunct faculty for both the University of Washington School of Dentistry and NYC Lutheran Medical School of Dentistry mentoring students.
In 2006, Nolan became an independent contractor working for different dentists and Alaskan Native Corporoations around the state. Dr. Davis started working with Dr. Riederer in 2009 once the new office was constructed. Nolan presently works half time with Mark and continues to work in the Prince William Sound area for a native corporation. He maintains a license in Alaska, North Carolina and the U.S. Virgin Islands and practices dentistry in all three locations.
Dr. Davis excels at working with children and anxious patients. In his free time, he likes snow boarding, sailing, mountaineering, and other adventures in the outdoors.
Sarah - Financial Coordinator
As a leader in financial and insurance billing Sarah helps patients with financial arrangements and assisting with insurance processing. She began her career in dentistry as office assistant but with her management background and natural leadership skills, she quickly found a passion for business growth and patient relations. As a southeast Alaskan, she enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her family; hunting, fishing, camping and hiking are among her favorite activities.
Kathy - Dental Hygienist
Kathy has an easy going laugh that belies the seriousness of her work regarding her patients' personal health. As an advocate for you, her skills and knowledge translate into excellent care for her patients. Since periodontal disease affects a patient's overall health, Kathy works actively to educate on this least understood, but very insidious disease.
When many patients suffer from dental anxiety, Kathy's personable approach will calm and ease jittery nerves.
Mary - Dental Hygienist
Mary is a 1998 graduate of the University of Alaska Dental Hygiene program. She grew up in Southeast Alaska and has been practicing in Juneau since May of 1998. Mary enjoys dental hygiene and prides herself on being gentle yet thorough. She believes in getting to know her patients individually to provide quality dental care.
Misa - Office Manager
Misa grew up in Washington, and moved to Juneau in 2007 to attend UAS. As front office manager she facilitates patient-office interactions such as scheduling appointments, welcoming patients, making financial arrangements and assisting patients with their insurance processing. She began her career in dentistry as a chair side assistant, but quickly moved into the management position. Misa truly takes pride in being an active team member and genuinely cares about each patient she sees.
Misa enjoys playing competitive sports and spending quality time with her husband and two children.
Sammy - Dental Hygienist
Some of our longtime patients may remember her as Dr. Riederer's assistant. She started working in 2006 as an assistant but left in 2013 to further her education as a dental hygienist. She returned from dental hygiene school and got straight back to work in the winter of 2015. We couldn't be happier to have her back in the office continuing to educate all of you on the most current hygiene practices.
Born and raised in Juneau, Sammy enjoys hunting, fishing, hiking, and camping in her spare time. She also enjoys playing team sports such as softball and volleyball. She has a German shorthaired pointer named Moxie.
